  1.  Rampaging – Moving through a place violently and uncontrollably.

The wild boar was rampaging through the village, knocking over carts and terrifying everyone in sight.

  1. Forlorn – Sad, lonely, or abandoned, often with a sense of hopelessness.

She sat by the window with a forlorn expression, watching the rain blur the distant hills.

  1. Hit the road – To begin a journey or leave a place, especially by car

Let’s hit the road early tomorrow so we can avoid traffic and catch the sunrise!

  1. Timed – Measured or planned according to a specific schedule or duration.

The race was timed to the second, leaving no room for error.

  1. Squirmy – Moving a lot because of discomfort or nervousness; fidgety.

The toddler grew squirmy during the long ceremony, twisting in his seat and sighing loudly.

  1. Took exception to – Became offended or upset by something.

He took exception to the comment about his cooking and refused to serve dessert.

  1. Went cold turkey – Suddenly stopped doing something addictive or habitual, often with difficulty.

After ten years of smoking, she went cold turkey and hasn’t touched a cigarette since.

  1. Made an epic mistake – Made a huge or memorable blunder, often with significant consequences.

Leaving my passport at home before an international flight was an epic mistake I’ll never live down.

1.      狂暴——在某个地方狂暴地、不受控制地移动。

野猪在村子里横冲直撞,撞翻马车,吓坏了所有看到的人。

2.      绝望——伤、孤独或被遗弃,常常带着一种绝望的感觉。

她坐在窗边,一脸绝望,看着雨水模糊了远处的山丘。

3.      上路——开始旅程或离开某个地方,尤指开车。

们明天早点上路吧,这样我们就可以避开交通拥堵,赶上日出!

4.      计时——根据特定的时间表或持续时间进行测量或计划。

赛精确到秒,不容有任何差错。

5.      ——为不舒服或紧张而不停地移动;坐立不安。

在漫长的仪式中,蹒跚学步的孩子变得扭动不安,在座位上扭来扭去,大声叹气。

6.      ——被某事冒犯或不安。

对别人对他厨艺的评价表示异议,拒绝提供甜点。

7.      突然戒掉——突然停止做某件上瘾或习惯性的事情,通常很困难。

她吸烟十年后,突然戒掉了,从此再也没碰过香烟。

8.      犯下重大错误——犯下巨大或令人难忘的错误,通常会造成严重后果。

在乘坐国际航班前把护照忘在家里,是我永远无法忘记的重大错误。
